We are an ambitious and well-established housing group with deep roots in our three heartland areas of Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

One of the largest landlords in the North West, we have 1,500 staff, manage more than 37,000 homes, support around than 64,000 customers and invest at least £5m a year into local communities and life changing causes.

A social organisation with a commercial focus generating income to drive our activities and deliver lasting change, Torus is at once landlord, property developer, commercial contractor and social entrepreneur

We’re looking for a Group Head of Communications and Marketing to lead on the development and delivery of communications, brand and marketing strategies. We’re looking for someone who can align the group’s vision, mission, ambition and brand and support the delivery of commercial, product and service delivery and organisational development goals.

With strong management abilities you will be a strong leader but able to work in a group setting, inspiring and motivating staff to deliver communications requirements and to seek opportunities to grow and enhance the profile of Torus externally. It’s also key for you to  collaboratively work in partnership with the Executive Office and members of the Group Leadership Team

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification in marketing, communications or brand management, or evidence of equivalent professional experience.
  • An excellent track record in developing and delivering branding, marketing or communication strategies and of managing crisis communications, reputational risk and PR services.
  • Significant senior level experience in managing corporate communications
  • Experience of leading a team to deliver a professional marketing and design service, events, award bids, advertising and social media campaigns.
  • To have a wider understanding of the priorities and challenges that affect the Group and its subsidiaries.
  • A visible leader who can influence and inspires others

Great Torus people share qualities we value highly. They are problem-solvers, able to work well within our team. They are open, honest and committed to doing the right thing at all times, and they always look for ways to do things better, focused on making sure we achieve our aims. If you can share our way of working, you’ll enjoy working with us.

In return, we offer a modern workplace that is challenging, supportive and gives you room to grow your skills – along with a package of benefits that shows how much we value your contribution and care about your wellbeing.

If you are successful at the shortlisting stage and are invited to interview, we will request that you bring along copies of all qualifications and certificates that are essential for the role. Without sight of the qualification certificate any offers of employment will be placed on hold.

We reserve the right to close the role early if we appoint a suitable candidate or receive a high volume of applications prior to the closing date.
