I am currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary for my client, a respected West Yorkshire firm that assists clients in most areas of law.
Working at their office in Guiseley, the Legal Secretary will provide administrative support to solicitors and fee earners undertaking predominantly wills & probate work, alongside reception duties for the branch.
The ability to deliver a friendly, professional, quality service in all dealings with clients and other parties is essential. The successful applicant will have a pleasant, helpful manner, strong organisational skills and will enjoy working under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy while doing so.
KEY TASKS
Reception duties
Audio-typing of documents from the Case Management System
Dealing with a high volume of telephone queries
Keeping clients and other parties updated with progress of matters
Scanning, copying and filing documents
Assisting solicitors and executives with matters at all stages of the transaction, from file opening to archiving in accordance with office and accounts procedures

Excellent telephone manner
Effective and helpful administrative support
Ability to work accurately in accordance with agreed procedures
Ability to organise and prioritise work, under supervision, to meet clients' expectations and matter deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative as appropriate
Ability to work as a member of a team.
EXPERIENCE
Wills and Probate experience is desired but not essential
Previous secretarial/administrative and/or reception experience within the legal sector is highly desirable.
OTHER
Flexible and 'can do' attitude with a willingness to learn
Excellent written communication to produce documents for the clients, other side and third parties
