Job Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Hatfield
Basic Salary: GBP44,200 + overtime - on target earnings of GBP50,000 +
Shift rotation: 4 on 4 off Night Shift - 18:00 - 06:00
My client, a well established fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic based out of a depot in the Hatfield area to work on a full time / permanent basis.
Working in a purpose built, well equipped workshop, the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance. Duties range from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics and everything in between. You will also be required to undertake pre MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
You will be working on a modern fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units & trailers.
The shift is a 4 on 4 off Night Shift rotation - Hours of work being 18:00 - 06:00
The rate of pay for this HGV Mechanic role will be GBP20.00 per hour, giving a basic annual salary of GBP44,200, with overtime, you can expect to earn in the region of GBP50,000.
In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Mechanic will have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds). You must have detailed experience as an HGV Mechanic and be familiar with modern commercial vehicles. You will also be required to hold a Class 1 HGV Licence and a current Irtec certificate.
