About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Inventory Analyst to join Booker Retail Partners at our Harefield Office. Joining the wider product supply team, you will take responsibility for achieving and maximising Company product availability targets through careful planning and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who has worked in a similar role or has transferable experience from other areas within Supply Chain.
Role Responsibility
Optimise service levels to customers within business unit and the supply chain as a whole.
Ensure that Promotional, Seasonal, Range review and New supplier activities are delivered to a required standard and on time.
Work in partnership with Trading teams to ensure that Trading activities are identified and complement Supply-chain goals and vice versa.
Develop relationships with Suppliers and Consolidators/Hauliers to ensure that inbound supply service levels and supplier constraints are optimised.
Achieve stockholding and wastage budgets for own product category and ensure appropriate actions are taken without impacting supply.
You will need
Essential skills:
You'll have to be an excellent and confident communicator with ability to negotiate and influence at all levels for both internal and external stakeholders.
You'll have excellent organisation and time management skills, be able to prioritise and keep to tight deadlines.
You'll have a strong customer service orientation as well as good analytical skills, excellent level of verbal and numerical reasoning, strong attention to detail.
You'll have to be experienced PC user with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel spreadsheet usage.
Desirable skills:
Work on your own initiative with a pro-active approach to tasks and be able to think outside the box when it comes to problem solving.
Willingness to consider alternative options to resolving obstacles.
Exercises initiative in proposing and working on new projects
Pivot Tables & V-Lookups would be considered as highly desirable for this role - please mention in your application if you have these skills
Experience and knowledge:
Practical working knowledge of supply chain systems and sales forecasting experience, but full training will be given. Experience in the food retail trade, preferably in a central planning role (preferred but not essential)
