Background

We are keen to enhance our Audit and Assurance Committee and would like to recruit an Independent Member - Audit and Insurance Committee. As a Board we have undertaken an assessment of the skills and diversity we possess to ensure the first-class governance of our business. We now have a smaller Board comprising of high-quality Board members working constructively with our Executive team. We are recruiting for an Independent Member of the Audit & Assurance Committee. (The independent member does not sit on the parent board of Golding Homes.)

 

What you will be doing

You will be building and maintaining effective and constructive working relationships with other members of the Committee, the Chief Executive, Director of Finance and Corporate Resources and other members of the Executive Team. You will be attending Committee meetings (minimum quarterly), away days, training sessions and other events as required. We would like you to bring your independent view and insight as an independent member of the Audit and Assurance Committee through your own knowledge and experience of corporate financial management, audit and corporate accounting.

 

Our priority continues to be to provide safe and secure homes for our residents in places where they choose to live. Your extensive knowledge of audit committee practices and risk management frameworks and providing impartial insight will be invaluable to support our board in making key decisions to ensure we are a resilient and robust organisation.

 

More about you. What can you bring?

You will have a high level of numeracy skills, attention to detail, combined with financial awareness having the ability to analyse performance, financial and other information. You will be IT literate and comfortable with handling, analysing and prioritising large amounts of complex data. You will have the ability to challenge constructively and hold the Committee and Executive Team to account. We are looking for a person with the skills but also passion for our Golding values.

 

What you will get in return

Golding continues to embrace agile working for all colleagues. You will be attending Committee meetings (minimum quarterly), away days, training sessions and other events and will earn a remuneration of £3500 per annum.
