Vision for Education are looking to recruit a dedicated Outreach Teacher to join our supply team based from Huddersfield. This is an interesting opportunity for either an experienced or more recently qualified but highly adaptable Teacher to work as part of a dynamic team.
The role
Potentially working with young people from several Key Stages with assignments tailored to your particular skills, the Outreach Teacher will require excellent pastoral skills, a broad subject knowledge as it is highly likely that you will need to be able to teach small groups and / or 1:1 across the curriculum (including core subjects). Working as part of our Outreach Team is challenging and rewarding work. It is vital that you are comfortable working in classroom and non-classroom settings, including community settings, following Covid secure practices and Risk Assessments. It is vital that you hold a Driving Licence and have your own transport.
The school
The successful Outreach Teacher will be required for long term assignments working potentially with a number of young people who require a different style of teaching or smaller settings for a variety of reasons that may encompass; Medical Needs, SEND, Mental Health, practical reasons, additional support.
Requirements
To be considered for an Outreach Teacher role, you will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Will have recent experience working between KS1 and KS4
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of teachers.
Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver tailored, personalised and inspiring sessions
Be able to work independently
Be comfortable with a level of administration and reporting on progress and engagement
Hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle
