My client is a specialist hardwood flooring company, supplying and installing multiple commercial and domestic projects nationwide.

They are now looking to recruit a hardwood floor installer to work on various sites across the country on a full time, permanent basis

The ideal candidate will have carpentry or joinery skills.

The position requires the ability to work well with others and to liaise with clients/site agents to bring projects in on time, to a high standard and checked for quality. Good communication skills, with the ability to use own innovative when required is also key. Site certification, CSCS, is required.

If you have carpentry or joinery skills and would like to apply them to installing hardwood flooring, they will provide all the initial relevant training on the different floor systems to enable you to complete any installation.

The role involves the installation of hardwood flooring on various building sites, schools, colleges and airports throughout the UK. This will necessitate some out of town working, when an allowance of expenses will be paid along with your accommodation.

The Job is based on a 45 hour working week, with overtime if the project requires. In return you will be recompensed with competitive rates of pay, training to improve your skills, working out of town expenses and pension contributions.

Role expectations once trained:

* To work with other floor fitters and provide training when required concerning installation and finishing of hardwood flooring

* To Liaise/communicate with the client/site agent to complete projects on time, and to a high standard, once up to speed with the installations

* To complete the quality checks on site, obtaining sign off by the site agent as the install progresses

* To enforce Health and Safety, raising awareness to colleagues and others onsite, ensuring method statements are followed, with safe working practices at all times

* To communicate with line managers on the progress of the project, and any other business regarding the role

* To liaise with the office on project particulars such as quantities, site measures and deliveries

* To check the correct working order of tools, and the secure storage of tools on and off site.

* Good housekeeping to ensure a clean and tidy site
