Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

 

We have a great opportunity for a generic Housing Officer to provide a comprehensive housing management service which offers our customers value for money and efficiency in the management of their tenancy. 

 

Within this role you will manage a geographical patch of approx. 250 properties, ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided in the following areas of operation:-

  • Rent arrears and income collection
  • Lettings / Transfers/Mutual Exchanges
  • Voids management
  • Resident Involvement
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Estate and health and safety inspections
  • Tenancy Audits and Tenancy Management

 

Occasional evening and weekend working may be required.

 

This role is internally called Customer Services Manager.

 

Our ideal candidate will have experience of:

  • Working in a similar role and an understanding of social housing regulation.
  • Rent arrears control including filing particulars of claim and representation at court
  • Investigating and concluding all aspects of anti-social behaviour.
  • Providing excellent customer care
  • Voids monitoring and control, including inspection of void and specifying properties and new acquisitions and developments.
  • Letting and allocation of property including different types of tenancy agreements and leasehold management.
  • All aspects of tenancy management.
  • Understanding of housing law
  • Excellent Excel skills to intermediate level
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience

 

A full driving licence and access to a car is also essential for this position.
