We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our successful Personal Learning team, to support and raise the attainment of our students. Working under the direction and supervision of teaching staff, you will assist with teaching and learning and associated activities in order to help students make outstanding progress through appropriate targeted interventions. As a teaching assistant you will also assist, when required, with the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities, supporting in whole classes and working with individuals and small groups of students.

The successful candidate will have a relevant NVQ level 3 (or equivalent qualification), or recent proven ability of working effectively with young people at this level in a similar role in an education setting. Teamwork is an important aspect of this role and it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and work with a range of school professionals. This would be an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone considering a career in teaching.

Ibstock Community College has 570 students on roll and is at the heart of the local community, serving families in Ibstock and the surrounding villages of North-West Leicestershire. We are at an exciting stage in our development, with plans to expand from a Key Stage 3 (11-14) school to welcoming students from 11-16 from autumn 2022. We also anticipate exciting future developments and opportunities after joining LiFE Multi Academy Trust.
