Our client is a leading global distributor of polymer materials and chemicals and related innovative products and services. They are now looking to recruit a Regulatory Compliance Manager based at the European HQ, Chertsey or the Willenhall local office.

Purpose of Role:

  • To provide regulatory expertise across the clients group of businesses
  • To ensure that all products purchased, processed and sold by the business comply with relevant international, national and local legislation
  • Liaise with local authorities across all regions where the client is active to ensure compliance
  • Represent the client at relevant trade association technical meetings
  • Respond to customer enquiries in relation to product stewardship related enquiries

Main Responsibilities:

  • Management of REACH compliance (Both EU and UK) for all materials
  • Coordination with the suppliers and/or their REACH Only representatives on related issues e.g.:

o SVHC - Substance of Very High Concern (EU & UK)

o SCIP - Substances of Concern In articles

o CLP - Classification, Labelling and Packaging regulations

o BPR - Biocidal Product Regulations (EU & UK)

o RoHS

o SDS - Availability of Translations & International emergency response service (emergency number / response in local languages).

  • Transport documents for dangerous goods comply with national or international regulations
  • Packaging waste reporting - all countries
  • Sustainability reporting - Identifying 'material issues' / Product life cycle assessment
  • Provision of advice on regulatory developments and changes for the business

The client is looking for an experienced Regulatory Manager who can work in either Chertsey or the Willenhall area. They will need strong experience and an understanding of REACH and related issues such as SVHC, SCIP and CLP and the ability to provide regulatory expertise across an international business.
