Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager you will be an experienced Operations Manager, capable of leading an established team with an emphasis and focus towards delivering exceptional service to our customer in a busy and demanding environment. You will be a highly motivated individual, with excellent organisational skills and know how to inspire and motivate others. This is a senior managerial position with overall responsibility for the warehouse operation.Champion the site Health and Safety agenda as per Company and legislative guidelines.
* Ensure the site team operate with quality as a key focus.
* Daily responsibility for all operational and associated activities on site, including customisation of some products.
* Operational planning for all activities and stockholding.
* Internal and customer specific reporting.
* Working to achieve all contractual KPI's within the agreed cost parameters.
* Key contact for the customers and their representatives.
* Highlight any for continuous improvement opportunities and any new innovative ways of working.
* Involvement in recruiting and training. Leading operational team development, identifying key team members for the future to support both individual development and the Company's succession planning.
* Create an open and transparent environment to promote 2-way communications and timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
* Able to demonstrate existing experience at this level or similar within the 3PL or wider logistics sector.
* Previous experience in managing volume profiles that contain significant peaks and a level of promotional activity.
* Experience as part of an operational start up or larger supply chain projects also advantageous.
* Experience of the Beauty or Luxury goods markets place is not essential but would be an advantage.
* Fast moving, high service level environments
* Ability to think and work both strategically and operationally.
* Evidence of team management and development.
* A positive "can do" outlook with the determination and tenacity to succeed.
* Proven ability of where personal drive, commitment and enthusiasm has led to business success.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels, internally and externally.
