The L&D Manager will provide a proactive learning and development service, designing, delivering and embedding learning initiatives which support the HR and Business Strategy.

A successful not for profit organisation based in Liverpool.


To support the design and implementation of processes and initiatives, that enables consistent and robust learning and development planning across the company

Identify, develop and facilitate the delivery of functional and technical training throughout the business, within the allocated budget

To support the business areas to develop appropriate learning plans responsive to business and individual's needs

Develop and deliver behavioural training across the company

Understand and support the embedding of performance and leadership development processes in conjunction with the HR Business Partners

Support the embedding of performance processes which develop a culture of 'creating success'

Develop and facilitate the delivery of effective Induction programmes relevant to the specific business areas

Devise and deliver e-learning packages to staff

Support line managers and training provides to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups

Develop a robust learning cycle which is underpinned by an end to end training needs analysis process

Own and implement the technical / functional skills matrix across the Group

Support and engage with the on-going review of processes, policies and procedures to ensure that they are fit for purpose and provide value for money

Ensure the return on investment for all interventions, by delivering training interventions against the measures set by the business


Must have 3+ years' in a Learning and Development position
Experience of developing and embedding end to end learning and development interventions

Experience of training delivery and design in relation to functional, technical and behavioural training

Experience of e-learning technology, including being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages

Experience in research and obtaining grant funding

Knowledge of day to day budget management
