Newtech Intelligent Automation is a company specialising in the design and manufacture of Ultrasonic and mechanical cutting machines and systems for the food industry, typically using Robotic platforms. Industries include Cheese, Bakery, Meat, Poultry and Food to Go. Handling and automation solutions are also provided.
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in the design of special purpose machinery. With a hands-on role throughout the design life cycle, reporting to the Chief engineer, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team designing and developing the mechanical aspects of both our standard range of machinery, and the many bespoke applications we supply, including robotic cutting and handling systems.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience as a Design Engineer within special purpose machinery / Automation
• Educated to degree level
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safety standards
