We have a brand-new opportunity for a part time Payroll Administrator to join our passionate and friendly team! Reporting into our Payroll Manager, you'll play a pivotal role supporting the Finance function as the first point of contact for pay related queries. You will also be looking after the day-to-day administration of payroll, so attention to detail will be paramount to ensuring we deliver a first class service to our colleagues and to the wider business.

What you'll be doing:

* Supporting with the preparation of monthly payrolls for the Microlise group, including data entry

* Processing changes of employee information; absence, holidays, personal details, etc

* Maintaining data integrity; accuracy, validation, consistency, etc, with a high level of attention to detail

* Handling sensitive data with utmost discretion

* Effectively operate payroll processes and procedures; statutory payments, calculating absences

* Processing new starters and leavers on all internal and external systems

* Preparing spreadsheets and reports to provide the Payroll Manager with measurable data and analytics

* Answering first line payroll and pension queries in a timely and professional manner

* Any other administrative tasks as required to support the payroll function

What we're looking for:

* Payroll training will be provided, but experience in an environment where attention to detail is important would be an advantage

* Understands need for confidentiality and data protection

* Understanding of payroll processes and legislation would be extremely advantageous

* Exceptional attention to detail and experience working with MS Office suite, particularly Excel

* Ability to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines in a demanding environment

* Excellent customer service and takes pride in delivering a right first time service

* Good level of written and verbal communication

* Ability to remain unflustered under pressure

* Happy to question processes, and raise concerns with Manager, and where appropriate wider business

Recruitment Process

This is a part time position working 20-25 hours per week, however we do offer flexibility on what days/hours are worked. Upon application, could you kindly state your preference when prompted.
