The new Youth Housing service in Lincolnshire supports 16-17 year olds and care leavers including Young Parents up to 21 years who are homeless or are threatened with homelessness, to live independently. Our aim is to inspire the young people we accommodate to be ambitious and embrace new opportunities. Through devising a person centred support package we enable the young people we work with to have new experiences and develop skills to become independent in order to make a positive contribution to society. Who we are looking for?

We are looking for passionate, energetic and aspirational individuals to work within our Intensive Needs service that's sits within the Youth Housing team. This service is for young people with complex needs including social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

As a Intensive Needs Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering a person centred support package to the most complex needs young people of Lincolnshire. You work directly with young people on a 1-2-1 basis and contribute to ensuring that every young person is positively progressing through their journey with us. You will be responsible for contributing the day to day running of the property whilst positively engaging the young people in their home environment. Through a creative and caring approach you will build good, trusting relationships, supporting young people to achieve their potential and explore new opportunities and interests. On occasion you may be required to provide support to our wider Youth Housing community to help minimise risk.

The ideal applicant should be patient and communicate well, have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, be confident in dealing with behavior's that challenge. Flexibility is key and an ability to work in an open and honest manner is essential. The ideal applicant must have access to their own transport as they will be required to travel to other areas of Lincolnshire in order to meet the service demands.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
