Gardener/Grounds Person required for our local authority client based in Bath, South West England.
THE ROLE:
Gardener/Grounds person will assist with upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery and crematorium. This will include cutting the lawn, pruning trees, keeping vegetation trim and even, and planting grass over new grave sites. You may have additional responsibilities at a burial ground such as repairing gravestones and preparing a grave site for a funeral.
Remove leaves and other debris from graves, using leaf blowers and weed eaters.
May be required to repair and maintain tools and equipment, using hand tools and power tools and applying mechanical knowledge.
Applicant must have experience of using powered and hand tools relating to horticultural tasks, such as mowing, strimming, edging and general gardening duties.
