Role Purpose:
To act as the conduit between the business and Group IT. Receive, log, process, escalate and monitor calls to the Group IT Service Desk ensuring internal and external escalated levels of support are engaged and maintained and that any ticket is processed efficiently.
Receives and logs incident, problem and change calls from end users into the Group IT service desk system.
Assesses and assigns priorities to calls logged from end users ensuring the correct level of urgency is assigned
Processes and monitors logged and prioritised calls, liaising with internal and external resolver groups where necessary to successfully resolve and close the call
Adheres to Group IT service desk best practice on availability and ensures calls are answered promptly
Builds a good working knowledge of the Group IT environment in order to achieve higher levels of first time fix Job DescriptionYou may not have heard of us, but we're sure you've tried our products. What we're looking for
A demonstrated aptitude and interest in IT developed in an IT focused group or organisation
Good phone skills and an ability to provide technical support over the phone
Good problem solving skills and techniques
Willingness to participate in a shift rota, working 8 hour shifts from 06:00 to 22:00.
Ability to switch between tasks and multi task effectively during peak times
