Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Trust Network Manager who has a real flair for technology mixed with a passion for providing exemplary service to our customers to support schools in Reading and surrounding areas.

They are an independent, innovative company which provides hands-on ICT and computing support to around 900 primary and secondary schools across London and the South East by consultants and staff who understand teaching and school technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing school ICT support contracts, emergency technical support, school complaints, emergency cover and the introduction of new schools.

You will be able to demonstrate your background as an ICT Technician and will need a good working knowledge of maintaining ICT hardware and software as well as working knowledge of maintaining networks.

You will be passionate about all things IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service. This role requires you to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms to our customers. You should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving, decision-making, and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services provided by your team.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the team to handle 2nd/3rd line requirements, ICT emergencies & school complaints.
Resolve and manage any technical issues that impacts the running of the school's function by providing robust technical solutions.
Provide internal network support.
Help with the support/mentoring of the 1st/2nd support roles.
Enforcing and monitoring in line with School policies
Internal staff training

Skills/Abilities

Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Operating Systems
Virtualisation Technologies - particularly HyperV
Cloud Technologies - Office365/Azure
Experience of leading on installations of servers and networks
Ability to make proactive decisions when an ICT emergency occurs.
Outstanding levels of customer service with positive & pro-active communication skills both verbal and written
Flexible and adaptable
Friendly and approachable
Excellent team player
Able to work independently and good at planning and organizing own time effectively.

The role is offered on a full-time basis and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.

Due to the location of the schools, you will need to have a driving licence and your own vehicle. In return, we are offering a salary range of GBP32,000 - 36,000 negotiable for the right person, benefits include a Salary Sacrifice Pension scheme, Benefits & Wellbeing Hub including access to an Eye care voucher scheme, Cycle Scheme, Mental Health First Aid and Employee Assistance Programme.
