Senior Operations Manager

The purpose of this role is to identify and implement an operational strategy for the business that maximises the output of all its assets in a safe and efficient manner. The role will be central to developing a customer focused culture throughout all levels of the business, driving an ethos of continuous improvement which is motivated by a safety-first mind-set, whilst ensuring the delivery of a quality OTIF product.

Senior Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Operations Team to continually achieve and wherever possible exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service and quality target levels.
  • Develop & embed through team-working a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste.
  • Liaise with HR & Recruitment to recruit, engage, train and develop the site team, managing its performance and reward, to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its current and projected objectives.
  • Formulate and agree level annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed workloads at optimum cost base.

Senior Operations Manager Requirements:

  • You will have the passion, drive and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.
  • Knowledge & technical understanding of processes, components and manufacturing techniques, ideally from a metals background.
  • Health & Safety qualification, preferably Nebosh.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets.

Salary: Competitive

Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 17:00pm
