EcoTalent's valued customer near Huntingdon, has a new role created to strengthen their existing quality inspection team.

If you are an experienced Electronics Quality Engineer with the following skills:

* IPC 610 and J-STD-001 soldering certifications

* People Management experience

* Customer Facing Skills

and are looking for a new role working for an established and friendly electronics manufacturer, this could be the job for you!

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for the quality of assembled PCB's populated with both SMD and PTH components and for the quality of finished products. You will be competent in using a variety of different software tools and equipment to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across the business.

It is essential that you are certificated to IPC 610 and J-STD-001 as minimum requirement. Ongoing training and certification are required and will be carried out by our in-house certified trainer. You will head up the quality team and your knowledge of IPC quality standards will be supported by strong people management skills together with the ability to organise, control and prioritise your departments constantly changing workload. Communication at all levels with other departments is essential as is the active participation in customer facing quality meetings.

The role of Quality Engineer offers a balance of routine inspection work with the opportunity to be involved with new products from an early stage.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

* To support the quality inspection team using your experience and problem-solving skills.

* To undertake routine board and product inspection.

* To work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Lead Engineer to resolve any issues affecting manufacturing.

* To work closely with the Test Manager to resolve quality or product throughput issues.

* To organise, control and prioritise the departments constantly changing workload.

* To provide daily yield data to manufacturing manager and assist in any corrective action required, monitor changes to ensure quality improvement.

* To provide monthly quality metrics to the Manufacturing Operations Manager.

* Ensuring the quality inspectors follow the documented quality procedures.

* Be involved at an early stage of NPI to define quality criteria.

* To carry out periodic quality audits of supporting departments.
