A fantastic opportunity has come up for you to work as a hands-on product owner on innovative web-based solutions for the automotive industry.

You will get to play a key role in the product development life cycle, creating good quality product that is fit for market. This will be a very consumer facing role so experience in that field will go a long way. Customer interaction is key so UX, features and ease of use will take a huge focus.

Being available immediately will be a big advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit and capture requirements from the product management team, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in high level inter departmental project planning and prioritisation
  • Elaborate requirements into features, epics, user stories with appropriate descriptions and detail
  • Ability to define MVP (minimum viable product) and manage phases and releases
  • Be an advocate of AGILE principles
  • Ensure the development team deliver items to an agreed understanding of DONE that meets the expectation of quality, security and functionality
  • Perform planning for sprints
  • Participate in SCRUM meetings planning, review and retrospectives
  • Review work as it is being produced to give more input, definition and indicate suitability
  • Sign off final deliveries on a feature and user story level
  • Follow the company policies and procedures, and provide guidance and advice on their development and maintenance
  • Inspect and analyse code using appropriate techniques and technology tools
  • Perform any other task as required for product development

Essential Skills

  • Experience of working in a SCRUM team and following an AGILE process (4 years.)
  • Experience of performing task of a SCRUM product owner
  • Excellent problem solving (root cause identification, risk analysis)
  • Ability to write concise specifications
  • Use of a ticket tracking tool eg Jira, Visual Studio
  • Understanding of Web technology (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to visualise and describe complex workflows and user flows
  • Ability to prioritise and group features
