Howdens Joinery are looking for a Customer Services Advisor to join us at our new site based in Holme Upon Spalding Moor in East Riding of Yorkshire. As a FTSE250 business that is undergoing an exciting period of growth, this Customer Services Advisor role offers you a unique opportunity to be part of our new factory operation, Howdens Work Surfaces as we set up and build the site team to produce and manufacture bespoke stone worktops in 2021.

Reporting to the Customer Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers. As a Customer Services Advisor, you will receive inbound calls and emails from customers, take steps to resolve customer queries and complaints by contacting internal departments and work as part of a team to achieve weekly targets and execute first call resolution where possible. You will also have excellent product knowledge of all our products, input accurate information onto our CRM and take an active role in streamlining processes and improving customer service.

Knowledge and Experience required:

  • 2years+ in a customer service environment is essential
  • GCSEs at grade A - C in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills - both written & verbal
  • Effectively work under pressure and achieve results
  • Good listening skills with the ability to multi-task, being flexible to meet customer and business needs.
  • Experience of using databases and information management systems in a customer focused setting, including reporting and KPI management is desirable
