Jackson Hogg is excited to be working with a rapidly expanding Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation in the North East that are looking for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Synthetic Organic Chemist, you will work on a variety of pharmaceutical projects which will cover a wide range of Synthetic Organic Chemistry within a world class and globally recognised facility.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Design synthetic routes. Preparing cost estimates and client proposals.
• Plan, perform and manage chemical syntheses in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
• Perform in-process analytical testing and ensure that analytical, microbiological and material science testing needs are discussed and agreed with the onsite analytical team.
• Ensure, where required, that laboratory work and associated documentation complies with GMP or other regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and client requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• PhD Graduate or MSc/MChem with 1-2 Years Experience (Preferably in Synthetic Organic Chemistry).
• Academic or Industrial experience and knowledge of Synthetic Organic Chemistry techniques.
• Any experience in the handling of scale up equipment or the handling of 14C materials is beneficial.
