Commercial Property Paralegal - Stockport
My client is a highly regarded multi service law firm who are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Paralegal or Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team on the outskirts of Manchester/Stockport
The successful candidate will be joining the busy Commercial Property team which deals with a wide variety of property matters to include development, transactions and property litigation.
The ideal applicant will be self-motivated, able to organise and co-ordinate well, be able to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills. You must possess a law degree and due to the nature of the role, experience with the Commercial Property processes and procedures is essential (12 months+)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful Commercial Property Team and work alongside highly experienced Solicitors, who are experts in their field. A training contract can be made available for the right candidate.
Assisting the commercial property team on a wide range of property transactions including sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant, commercial finance, pension related property matters and a niche expertise in easements with electricity companies.
Day-to-day duties will include:-
• Supporting a Fee Earner or a Solicitor with their caseload and depending on experience may ultimately manage a personal case load of files acting as a Fee Earner under the supervision from a qualified solicitor
• Dealing directly with clients, agents and lenders
• Utilising (where applicable) case management software
• Drafting and amending property related documentation
• Dealing with ordering routine property searches
• Production of routine correspondence
• Chasing the progress of the file, to ensure that we are in a position to complete at the earliest opportunity
• Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and checking account ledgers
• Responsible for billing the transaction
