IT Service & Support Manager

Leeds, West Yorkshire - up to GBP45,000 basic

A successful technology-driven business are seeking an accomplished IT Service & Support Manager role to play a key part in their journey to improve service management and service desk processes, whilst being a member of the IT management team.

Reporting into the Head of IT, the IT Service & Support Manager will be responsible for leading a team of six IT Support Engineers, covering 1st & 2nd line desktop and application support, whilst also liaising with other technical IT teams across the business.

The IT Service & Support Manager will be responsible for contributing to and delivering a roadmap of improvements to various areas of IT service management, including (but not limited to) problem management, incident management, asset management, change management, and reporting.

Utilising a technical IT background and technology understanding, as well as significant ITIL experience, the IT Service & Support Manager will become the figurehead of IT Services within the business, and ensure that IT is providing a first-class service to stakeholders across the organisation.

IT Service & Support Manager - Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in managing an IT Service Desk/Helpdesk/Support team, including people, resource, and performance management
  • Excellent knowledge of IT Service Management and strong ITIL principles - ideally ITIL Practitioner or Expert certified
  • Technical background in IT, familiar with technologies such as Windows Server, Desktops, Networking, Applications, and Cloud
  • Previous experience in defining and implementing improvements to IT services and processes (continual service improvement)
  • Strong people management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage both day-to-day IT operations, as well as contributing to growth and increasing maturity of the IT service function

IT Service & Support Manager - Salary & Benefits:
