My client is seeking an experience Homeless Assessment Officer with expeirence directly assessing single homeless clients that approach the Council. The officer will ideally have expeirence assessing homeless clients under either Part 6 or Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996. The client understands the pressures of the role and is keen to support Officers throughout their contract.
Duties Includes:
Experience carrying out Part 6 or Part 7 assessments on all types of homeless clients including single homeless.
Understanding of housing eligability and support needs
Working on both priority and non priority cases
Aware of Section 21 notices being legal and eviction process to provide advice and guidance.
Strong working knowledge of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017
Providing appropriate homeless prevention and relief advice where appropriate
