Head of Year

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious and innovative Head of Year to nurture and develop the learning experiences of a cohort of students as they progress through their five years of secondary education. This would potentially begin by facilitating a smooth transition from primary school in Year 7 and culminate in ensuring that every student realises their full potential in their GCSE exams, taken in Year 11. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to lead a team of Form Tutors to make a real difference to the academic and pastoral progress of every student.

This role is challenging yet highly rewarding and it will give the right person a chance to be a key part of a busy secondary school and make a real difference to the lives of our students. We are looking for someone who has experience in a pastoral role, and possesses drive and determination, is proactive and shows initiative. We want someone with high levels of emotional intelligence and can work both one-to-one with a student, yet also has the presence and personality to engage a whole year group in an assembly.
