My Client is an established and well-respected Kent Law Firm serving individuals and businesses in London and the South East from their 3 offices. They have been successfully managing the legal affairs of local people for many years and are recognised as one of the top law firms in Kent.
The Role
This role is for a full time Legal Secretary (part time may be considered) who will be responsible for providing full secretarial support to fee earners and Private Client Department.
This would include arranging appointments, dealing with client enquiries as well as preparation of correspondence by audio typing via the digital dictation system.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide secretarial support to the Private Client Department.
Filing, Photocopying, and opening/closing client files in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintaining and coordinating diaries and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary.
Regular consideration of client files and advising fee earners of any actions required.
To provide ad-hoc secretarial cover for sickness and holiday absences in the team when needed.
Participating in the Reception rota during busy times.
Ensure confidentiality on all appropriate matters.
Comply with all the firm's relevant policies and procedures.
Aim to continuously improve on customer service.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
You should be competent using MS Word and Outlook, a proficient audio typist (60+ wpm), have a 'can do' attitude and bags of initiative.
Familiarity with using a practice management system such as Partner 4 Windows (Tikit) will be a bonus although full training will be provided. Full and part time opportunities available together with a competitive salary.
