Service Introduction Specialist - Service Management

About The Role

Coventry Building Society have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our IT Service Transition Team as a Service Introduction Specialist.

Are you passionate about making things work? Do you have excellent communication and negotiating skills? Are you equally comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels? Due to our continued growth and expansion we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who wants to make a difference in our Service Introduction space.

You will provide the processes, support and governance of activities to ensure that new or changed services being developed meet all operational requirements before being introduced into the Production environment. We also ensure that all IT Support teams are comfortable in providing the required support from day one of live service.

About You

Essential skills:

• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Collaborative approach, working other staff, managers and team leaders within the Change and IT organizations
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good understanding of Service Transition processes
• Service based approach with the protection of production services the main focus
• Proven experience in an Operational or Service Management function, ideally within the financial sector

Desirable skills

• Knowledge and experience of integrated ITSM Toolsets
• ITIL Service Management intermediate qualification preferably in Release Control & Validation

Internally this role is known as Technical Specialist - IT Service.
