A Residential Support Worker Needed for Permanent Vacancies Immediately
Are you looking for a rewarding role working with adults with complex needs?
Do you hold a Child Care NVQ, BTEC or CACHE Level 3 or equivalent?
Do you have experience with working one to one with young adults with Special Needs in a mentoring role?
A dedicated Residential Support Worker is needed in Torbay, to assist children and young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a children's home in the picturesque village of Dartington. You will be working in a home supporting up to 10 children comprised of permanent and respite care supporting on a night rota. Shifts are 12 hours, working on a 3 on and 3 off basis with a dedicated team of night workers.
The ideal Residential Support Worker will need to have:
Previous experience within a SEND school or residential care environment
A patient and caring approach when providing all aspects of care
Experience in one to one support to encourage independence and raising self-esteem
Be comfortable with providing personal care to young adults, including washing, dressing, toileting and feeding
Respect privacy and dignity at all times
Able to adapt to different working environments
