Non-Executive Directors

Gloucester

£4,500 per annum (2x board members)

£6,792 per annum (1x Chair of Audit and Risk)

GCH is an independent housing association providing excellent housing management services to over 5,200 tenants and 260 leaseholders in Gloucester.

Here at GCH we’re committed to our mission of “providing a safe, decent home for everyone and delivering services that meet our tenant’s needs and expectations”.

We are looking for up to three Non-Executive Directors, (2 X Board Members £4,500 pa and 1 X Chair of Audit and Risk £6,792 pa)

As a new Non-Executive Director, you’d be joining a dynamic leadership team at an exciting time.

For one role, we are looking for someone who can contribute strong, recent financial, accountancy, treasury or investment management skills and experience. All our NEDs are also a member of one of our Board Committees and if appointed, you’d join the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee.

We are also seeking a Board Member who can also Chair our Audit and Risk Committee. Experience of audit and risk management is essential and financial skills would also be beneficial.

Finally, we would welcome someone with a background in asset management including property investment, development and viability modelling together with knowledge of environmental sustainability and climate change targets, associated with improving the energy efficiency of our homes to meet Government targets.

We have thought carefully about how we shape these roles to attract talent that is diverse and appealing to people who want to be part of a culture that meets our values, Pride, Quality, Integrity and Innovation. We are particularly interested to hear from groups where GCH is currently underrepresented at Board level, therefore we would welcome candidates from BAME and/or other ethnic minority groups or those with a disability

We need the right attitude – committed people who are keen to contribute to the region’s socio-economic needs, via innovative thinking, creative planning, and constructive debate. You will find an organisation that can meet your ambitions, so the roles will suit those who are committed to driving our social purpose forward.

Prior experience as a Board member - or an understanding of the housing sector and the regulatory context within which we operate would be useful but is not essential, as training and support can be provided.

We look forward to hearing from you!
