South Thames Colleges Group are now looking for a Head of Digital Innovation, Services and Transformation. This is a brand-new post within the Quality & Digital Innovation team to respond to the growth of digital development across the College Group.

Within the role, you’ll be responsible for leading the digital strategy development and managing the digital services across the Group to deliver a positive digital experience for all stakeholders. You will assume responsibility for the development of service level agreements, managing the digital service across the Group and policy development.

Ensuring the effective collaboration and communication with the curriculum, corporate services and Group teams, you will be the strategic lead for Microsoft 365 and the growth and development of applications. You will also design and manage a range of technologically focussed developments that enable the Group to operate an effective and innovative learning environment and will drive technology focussed improvements across core Group systems and processes.

Our Head of Digital Innovation, Services and Transformation will be a technical and strategic leader who will coordinate and contribute to multiple complex projects across the Group simultaneously. Keeping up to date with technology developments, you will be comfortable acting as the Group’s lead source of expertise, advice and guidance on technology in learning and improvement, but be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into some of the everyday developments to achieve successful outcomes.

We’d like you to be educated to Degree level in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Management, Educational Technology (or a related field) and have extensive knowledge of a range of hardware and software applications used to improve the student experience. You’ll have an awareness of emerging trends in data, information and technologies applicable to the education environment, and have experience of coaching and encouraging others in their use and effective application of technology in learning.

Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and Access is a must, as is significant experience in Programming and Development (C#, PHP, HTML and Java). We’d also like you to have advanced technical experience of systems development and of Microsoft Azure for educational institutions.

This post can be based at any College Group site (Kingston College, Carshalton College, Merton College, South Thames College – Wandsworth or South Thames College – Tooting) and is to be agreed with the successful candidate.
