About the role
Key responsibilities
Maintenance
Implement and assist with non-exhaustive planned preventative maintenance, across various production stream areas.
Support and assist with production stream operational requirements, including start-up duties and pre-production checks ahead of handback.
Support other internal and external resources in maintaining the plant and equipment.
Communication
Communicate accurate and relevant information in a timely manner to the department and to the business.
Liaise with all engineering and production management on site regarding processing all engineering matters.
Site Engagement
Engage with all levels of the business within the areas of site communications, workshops, briefings and other activities to promote and sustain a fully engaged workforce.

Document Standard Work & Standard Confirmation
Know, use and maintain the Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures across all areas of the business.
Check that standards set within the production stream are adhered to in all areas of work.
Continuous Improvement
Help comply with audits and their subsequent actions according to the relevant standards.
Health and Safety
Help to ensure the health and safety of all persons, who are stakeholders of Kerry Foods' activities. This includes colleagues, customers, suppliers and the local community.
Work with the site to ensure that the working environment is safe for our employees and compliant with current legislation.
Complete and adhere to all required permits to work (including assisting contractor in the adherence to standards required).

Ensure relevant legal & regulatory requirements are adhered to e.g. machine guarding, noise, pressure vessels, safety circuits, etc.
Identify and be aware of your own training and development needs and support training where required.
Assist with accident investigations, where necessary.
Engage with local safety activities such as near miss reporting
Asset Management?????????????????????
Maintain all asset related master data as required under KAMS or (Good Manufacturing Practice) e.g. machine settings, manuals, PLC programmes, asset labelling / tagging, Fixed Asset Register updates, SAP, Pemac, update production line maps, etc.

SHIFT SPECIFIC:
Where necessary, cover the activities of the 7-day pattern engineering team.
SHIFT SPECIFIC: Weekend days
Assist in the control of contractors, where necessary.
Qualifications and skills
Education
Essential
Relevant Third Level Engineering qualification or recognised, standards-based, time-served apprenticeship.
Relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills.
Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process and technical data.
Desirable
Educated to HNC or above

Technical
Essential
Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
Asset management knowledge.
Proven problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Desirable
Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of KPS.
Knowledge of MBR-type reporting, 5-whys or 8 Step Practical Problem Solving.

Show respect for others and knowledge / experience of teamwork.
