Job Title: Science Teacher - SEN Experienced
Location: Hartlepool
Daily Rate: GBP100 - GBP189
Start Date: September 2021
GSL Education are actively looking for candidates who have experience teaching Science to Secondary students with SEN needs. Our rates are highly competitive and we have day-day, long-term and permanent contracts available around your requirements.
The school setting is based in Hartlepool and is easy to access by Car and Public transport. Current vacancies are looking for candidates to work full-time (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday to Friday) in the Secondary provision.
The role will be looking to offer young people an engaging syllabus for English. You will be expected to plan as well as mark papers. The prospective roles are suitable for Fully Qualified as well as Newly Qualified Teachers who are looking to complete their induction year. Jobs may become permanent for the right candidates.
Essential Requirements:-
Relevant UK teaching qualification degree(s); namely a PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS.
Foreign qualified instructors assessed by NARIC are welcome to apply.
Relevant teaching experience in a school setting for Years 9 to 12 is required.
6 months minimum ASD/SEMH experience.
Challenging Behaviour Settings.
Health and Social Care Settings.
1:1 Support - if required.
Dealing with Sensory Impairments and/or Sensory processing difficulties.
Acknowledging complex health needs (e.g Epilepsy, respiratory problems, dysphagia and eating/drinking problems).
Strongly committed to pupil welfare.
Strong command of the curriculum and good behaviour management skills; able to meet deadlines.
The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
A flair for planning creative and effective lessons.
The ability to direct a team of Support Assistants and work as part of a wider team across school if need be.
In possession of an enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Willingness to attend twilight CPD and parent's evenings when required.
