The Hyde group are established Industry experts within Aerospace/scientific Engineering and have a new vacancy for a Project office Expeditor, working at our busy manufacturing site in Dukinfield.

Role Overview

Working as part of a team to support production, the project expeditors are key to ensuring that customer requirements are delivered on time by carrying out a number of key projects tasks:

* Purchasing material, AGS, treatments and other bought outs

* Contact suppliers for delivery updates

* Raising route cards to release from stock

* Working with customers to resolve or progress technical or quality issue

* Maintain SAP with relevant comments (specifically when held)

* Maintaining customer trackers / orderbooks on an ad-hoc basis

* Complete FAIR preps in support of a final FAIR process

The role is mostly office based, fast paced, very varied with lots of opportunities to develop SAP, excel, project and account management skills.

Job Requirements:

Main Duties

* To support production to ensure that customer requirements are achieved.

* Purchasing of parts / treatments

* Updating customer orderbooks and acting as the point of contact for a small portfolio of customers

* Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship between ourselves and our customer, resulting in repeat business and growth of the account/s.

* Attend internal production meetings, provide accurate information and manage any actions

* Share best practice with other team colleagues

* Support the planning function by raising 'release from stock' routings

* Support production bottleneck areas if required (admin functions)

* Raise external purchase orders when required and follow up with suppliers to ensure that due dates are achieved.

* Identify, mitigate and communicate account issues/risks and opportunities

* Ensure all communication is given in a timely and professional manner; especially with respect to customer queries emails

* Due to the sub contract nature of our business, a flexible hand on approach to your responsibilities is required.

Person Specification:

* Excellent communications skills are imperative

* Must have good team working ethic, be highly pro-active and motivated.

* Effective negotiation skills; you will be required to work with a number of departments

* Commercially and strategically aware, results orientated, and customer focused.

* IT literate, in particular Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint

* Excellent attention to detail; control costs to ensure budgets are achieved.

* Working knowledge of SAP (additional training will be provided where required)

* Previous sheet metal and aerospace experience is preferred but not essential

* The ability to read, understand drawings and customer specification (ongoing training will be provided as required).

* A willingness to work flexible hours should the business need arise.
