GBR Recruitment Ltd are working with a progressive foodie, recruiting for an experienced Hygiene Supervisor to lead a team of 10 Hygiene Operatives in completing deep cleans of machinery & surrounding work areas (working in confined spaces & at height from time to time).
This is a day shift working Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to meet business needs.
As the food companies Hygiene Supervisor, you will play a key part in providing instruction & training to the Hygiene team to carry out tasks successfully.
Other key responsibilities will include:
* Anticipating short-term challenges, which may arise during team operations
* Coaching, encouraging, and stimulating others to make the best use of their abilities
* Leading the Hygiene Team to ensure the completion of hygiene schedules, ensuring the plant and environment hygiene is maintained to a high standard
* Ensuring effective deployment of Hygiene resources
* Cleaning of designated factory / working areas to ensure highest levels of cleanliness
* Planning and coordinating all hygiene activities and resources within the shift
* Management and escalation of team absences or disciplinary issues
* Carrying out regular Hygiene audits and Behaviour observation as per agreed time scales
* Ensuring all hygiene schedules are completed correctly and filed out accordingly
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
* Food industry Hygiene Supervisor, Team Leader or Manager experience
* Food Hygiene & Food Safety qualifications
* Communicating on a daily basis with key contacts
* Controlling the provision, storage and use of equipment, chemicals (COSHH) and materials
* Ability to lead a team of c.10 operatives
