Having recently undergone an ambitious restructure to support the delivery of the People Strategy, exciting opportunities now exist for People Operations Advisers to provide advice, and support to managers across the Council on all employee relations issues, change management and organisational development activity.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

* Adopting a triage approach to all employment relations issues to reduce formal process including coaching and supporting managers to ensure issues are resolved at the earliest opportunity.

* Providing advice and support and where necessary challenge on a wide range of complex Employment Relations activity including carrying out or supporting on investigations, hearings, appeals and ET's.

* Interpreting and assessing current and future case and employment law, to identify and develop changes to policy and procedures

* Supporting all change management activity including reporting on data metrics, identifying and responding to organisational development needs, workforce design, restructures, job evaluation, redundancy and TUPE

* Developing strong and effective working relationships with Trade Unions, Safeguarding, legal services, occupational health and other stakeholders to demonstrate strong partnership working

* Building strong relationships with Strategic People Partners enabling effective service delivery across the organisation.

* Supporting the development and delivery of Learning and Development on employment relations and change related activity.

* Developing strong and effective working relationships with colleagues from across People services and the wider organisation to share knowledge and information to ensure the delivery of an excellent service to our customers.

You will be able to demonstrate:

* Extensive experience of working in HR within a large, complex and unionised organisation.

* Experience of advising managers at all levels on complex employee relations issues.

* Experience of successfully delivering and supporting extensive change management projects including experience of managing TUPE, redundancy, workforce design and organisational development.

* Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade on complex matters, confidential and sensitive issues

* CIPD qualification or equivalent qualification/experience
