Interaction IT have partnered with a leading Business to Business service in West Yorkshire. Due to business expansion my client urgently requires a Senior Technical Engineer with solid experience of AWS deployment and administration.

This role would ideally suit someone with around 2+ years commercial experience in a similar discipline or a senior infrastructure / network engineer looking to moving into a more cloud-based role with experience of rolling out AWS projects.

One of the UKs leading business to business service with a turnover in excess of GBP8m in 2018 with anticipated growth of almost 40% for 2019. Recently moved to a brand-new state of the art office working with the latest technology and virtualised network. The business employs over 100 staff with expectations to double this over the next 18 months.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will create cloud-based platforms across AWS environments.

You will architect highly available cloud environments; ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded. You will also support and migrate legacy web application server environments including rebuilding my clients application containerisation.

Key Responsibilities

?? At least 2+ years experience creating cloud platforms, built in an AWS environment

?? Management and administration of Linux servers in a public cloud environment

?? Experience of building, and delivering scalable containerised applications with Kubernetes

?? Strong understanding of cloud networking architecture including shared context firewalls and load balancers

?? Awareness of secure by design practices Investigate and track down bugs and create resolutions

?? Build and set up development tools and infrastructure

?? Ability to identify tools and methods to automate and improve development and release processes, including technical problems and developing software updates

?? Planning cloud architecture projects and being involved in project management decisions

?? Ability to produce detailed documentation for the cloud infrastructure and server design

Desirable

?? Knowledge of GIT version control

?? Some experience of working with software development teams with exposure to JavaScript and MySQL
