Who we are:

We are a growing team of talented and dedicated master-crafts people. Our workshop is on a farm in a beautiful West Sussex countryside, overlooking fields and woodland.

We champion our makers and attract work that is both challenging and enriching with fabulous variety – covering special one-off bespoke pieces, commercial joinery in prestigious spaces, furniture and architectural joinery for luxury interiors. We have featured on Grand Designs and worked on RIBA award-winning projects as we are renowned for our exceptional standards of craft and our exemplary and thoughtful client collaboration.

We’re looking for a dynamic, high-energy and vibrant person to join our West Sussex team in the role of Senior Maker. We are invested in the training and development of our
people and there is scope within this role for continuous professional development.

+ Collaborating with our team of designers and fellow makers
+ Interpreting drawings and working from both 2D and 3D formats
+ Sensitive timber and material selection and allocation
+ Setting up and operating woodworking machinery and power tools, making jigs and templates
+ Accurately producing components and assembling into often complex configurations
+ Joint making, veneering, laminating, steam bending, turning, applying finishes
+ Incorporating all manner of hardware, fixtures and fittings, electronics and mechanisms.
+ Co-ordinating your work with our network of other specialist trades including metalworkers, upholsterers, stonemasons
+ Delivering and installing your creations, commonly in London and the SE but occasionally nationally.
+ Bringing your brilliance to our team and being recognised as a great ambassador for the company

About you:

+ Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience of both traditional and contemporary furniture making and joinery methods
+ Able to independently plan and organise your own tasks to ensure each project is completed on time and with meticulous attention to detail
+ Quick to identify, then forthcoming in your collaborative approach to solving a problem
+ Natural aptitude for working beyond the ‘standard’ shapes of furniture – a good eye for organic shape and curved work.
+ Commitment to continual advancement in your skills and a deep rooted pride in creating beautiful, everlasting objects.
+ Make brilliant personal connections and have superb communication skills
+ Excellent H&S awareness in both workshop and remote working environments
+ Have a valid UK driving license

What we can offer you:

+ A good salary to match your experience and skill level.
+ Diversity of interesting and rewarding projects
+ The opportunity to make your mark in a small but growing business with scope for career development.
