Help shape the future of policing

To give the UK nationally consistent, locally branded services, we're innovating online. The Single Online Home (SOH) is a digital police station and one of the biggest changes to policing in recent times. As Insight Manager/User Research, you'll be at the heart of our work, finding out what people want and need so we can create the best possible platform and services. With your help, we can make the online experience as helpful, personal and reassuring as approaching an officer on the street.

Your main task will be to design and conduct user research that gives teams a deep understanding of the people that use policing services. Working within the National Content team, you'll help us identify target areas where we can improve the user experience. It means identifying the best research methods, based on goals and resources, and managing all aspects of research, including planning, moderation, analysis and reporting. You'll then turn data into findings that inform key decisions.

Experience in a similar role is essential, together with excellent teamwork and people skills. You should know how to conduct focus groups, and create and publish reports for senior managers and SMEs. You'll also have good technical knowledge: web technologies, HTML/CSS, content management systems and web design principles. And crucially, you'll understand how such technologies are used to build and operate digital services.

In return, we can offer a key role that comes with wide-ranging rewards and benefits. Help us take UK policing digital. Join us at the Met.

We view diversity as fundamental to our success. To tackle today's complex policing challenges, we need a workforce made up from all of London's communities. Applications from across the community are therefore essential.
