Max Energy is a leading company in the provision of insulation products and scaffolding to the new build housing market. Established in 2015 we have grown rapidly and now operate a national network of branches. Our continued growth has created this exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operations Manager at our Colchester branch.

This is a critical role with a direct influence on the success of the business. The Operations Manager has sole responsibility for the management of the branch and team, including profitability, stock, fleet, health and safety and all HR requirements.

You must be able to deal with people at all levels and be able to demonstrate efficient and organised administrative skills along with technical knowledge and business sense.

Main Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the branch including profitability through cost management.
  • Responsible for the efficiency planning of work load and associated administration
  • Ensure compliance to client requirements
  • Manage branch material stock to meet business needs
  • Team HR responsibility including recruitment, induction, training and performance management
  • H&S responsibility for the branch, staff and installer including following all policies and procedures
  • Controlling the branch fleet including maintenance schedules, damage reporting and fuel
  • Controlling quality of installs and H&S compliance through site inspections, to achieve volume and pass rate objectives.
  • The delivery of tool box talks and company briefings.
  • Ensuring all operation processes are adhere to and complied with.
  • Attend client pre-contract meetings and maintenance contact with the client through the contract.
  • Provide the highest level of service throughout the customer journey including complaint and query handling
  • Strictly adhere to all Health & safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others.
  • Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

Person Specification

  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Problem solving.
  • Able to work under pressure & problem solve.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Industry Knowledge would be an advantage

On Target earnings of up to GBP52,000.00 per year.

Annual Holiday allowance of 25 days.
