Wood Machinist/Tool Room Technician
Location: Irlam (M44)
Hours: Monday-Friday
6am-3pm
Pay: GBP11-12/h

Proman is currently recruiting for a wood machinist/tool room technician (WEINIG). The position is for one our clients based in Irlam. They are a timbers merchant and have seen a continuous growth in business which is why they are looking for additional staff to join their team.
You must have experience of operating timber moulders (Weinig/Leadermac) and a very good understanding of timber. Experience as a tool room technician will be an advantage.
The role includes:
- organising the tool racking
- maintaining the tools
- onsite staff training
- general toolroom duties
- machine operative duties
The ideal candidate has:
-5+ years of experience in a similar role
-preferably experience in a similar field (timber)
-attention to detail
-experience using Powermat for timber
-some experience training other people
You'll be working for a well-established business with a great team and long term prospects.
