Grounds Maintenance Operative

Our large project housing client is looking for a temporary ground maintenance operative for approximately 3 months based in Bridgnorth. You will be working within a small team responsible for all aspects of grounds maintenance, ensuring that all work is delivered to a high standard, all current health and safety regulations are adhered to and equipment is looked after and kept in a safe working condition, and any defects are reported immediately.
In this small team of 3 and must have experience within this field. You will need a full driving license, and ideally able to tow a trailer. You will need to be experienced using ride on mowers, strimmers, pedestrian mowers and have experience working within the community. Will need to be familiar with using email systems and receiving work instructions via a tablet/computer.
You will need to be polite and have good communication skills, have pride in your work, be aware of your surroundings, and a keen regard for Health and Safety.
In addition we also carry out garden clearances, shrub maintenance, leaf clearance, weed spraying and removal, and other grounds maintenance tasks. There may be times when you will be asked to assist the Housing repairs team with their duties.

Ideal Candidate
Able to us a ride on mower, pedestrian mowers and strimmers.
Experience in ground maintenance work.
Able to conduct litter picking, removal of flytips, and any additional instructions sent through to your computer

Our normal working hours are Monday to Friday, standard 37hours per week. 8am - 4pm, 30mins lunch, (3.30 finish on Fridays) although you will need to be able to work up to 42hours per week in summer which would be 7.30 - 4.30 (30mins lunch).
