Great opportunity to join a busy team with one of our international clients. Will need to be an experienced production/machine operator and available immediately to interview and start. This role is initially for a 3 months contract, however there is a strong likelyhood of it being extended. There will also be an increase in the salary after the training period.
The shift pattern will be 12 hours of days and nights, Monday to Friday (42 average weekly hours), The successful candidate will be trained by a team of skilled machine operators /setters/programmers, learning the role and working with the machinery on site.
The main responsibility would be to learn to operate, set and manage the designated machinery, working as part of a team to produce high quality products in a timely and effective manner.
Previous experience is essential with the main duties including: to comply with all Health & Safety requirements; produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards; maintain acceptable housekeeping standards at all times, adopting a clean as you go approach to ensure a safe / clean working environment for all employees; demonstrate continuous improvement experience; demonstrate competence in timely machine set up, minimising downtime / waste and maximising efficiencies by working effectively as part of a team; willingness to learn and train to gain new skills.
