We are currently looking for an Estimator to join our team in Basingstoke on a full-time basis.

Your Role

As an Estimator, you will provide detailed estimates for tenders within the civil engineering sector of the business.

Working in a small team, you will undertake detailed 'take offs' from working drawings, apply prices to Bills of Quantities and produce a detailed cost analysis on each tendered project.

In addition to tendering, you will also be responsible for project managing schemes once we have been awarded the works. You will organise relevant resources for the project, manage client's expectations, resolving any issues that may arise during the term of the project.

About You

To join us as an Estimator, you will need:

- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to plan or prioritise effectively
- To be a real hands-on team player, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- To be competent in Microsoft packages, in particular Excel
- Good numeracy skills
- Negotiation skills
- A full, valid driving licence

Previous knowledge and/or experience of estimating would be desirable, as would experience of project management, although these are by no means essential, as full training will be provided.

Other organisations may call this role Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Project Estimator, Cost Estimator, Trainee Estimator, Junior Estimator, or Graduate Estimator.
