Main purpose of job role:
The main purpose for this role is to manage the company's Customer Service function and own the planning and execution of supply chain and despatch activities. You should as champion for continuous improvement and optimise use of the systems. You will be responsible for a team of 13 within customer services, purchasing and despatch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the Customer Service function
Line management responsibility for the Customer Service team
Execution of customer orders from receipt, through contract review, acknowledgement and on time delivery
Improvement of customer satisfaction/allegiance and associated targets/metrics
Collaboration with inter-dependent teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Development of individuals within the Customer Service team
Supply Chain Logistics
Line management responsibility for the purchasing and despatch functions
Implementation of best practise routines for supply chain management
Coordinate agreements with suppliers to protect safety stock levels of critical materials
Establish internal Kanban procedures to optimise inventory levels
Ownership & improvement of KPI's (OTIF, DSO, etc)
Process champion for ERP system improvementsEssential Qualifications:
BSc level degree
Leadership experience within a manufacturing organisation and 5+ years in supply chain/customer facing roles
System manager experience for ERP systems (Syspro or other)
Desirable Qualifications:
Six Sigma (or similar) training
MBA qualificationAccountable for:
Customer satisfaction & allegiance
Company level metrics for inventory management and OTIF
Development of Customer Service and supply chain functions within the business
Improvement of ERP system routines to support the businessExperience Required:
Experience working in supply chain management of a high-volume manufacturing business
Managerial experience proven track record for developing people
Management & inter-personal skills for influencing/driving results in a matrix environmentPersonal Skills Required:
Interpersonal skills to engage with all business functions (senior management, production, sales, development, finance)
Strong leadership, organisational and time management skills
Methodical and thorough to ensure compliance with detailed regulations
Good analytical skills and the ability to draw actionable conclusionsSalary:
GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 depending on your previous experienceHoliday and benefits:
25 days holiday
