This global leader in their market is recruiting for a permanent PDI Technician to join their small and friendly team on the outskirts of Grantham, Lincolnshire.
The primary purpose of the role is to perform mechanical and electrical inspections of machines before being shipped to customers and secondly, the PDI centre customises machines to customers' requests for electrical and mechanical assembly.
You will be responsible for the daily PDI of jobs given to you using tablets, electrical wiring, assembling customised parts and setting up machinery for customers, carry out a robust PDI-inspection on all machines from start to finish prior to customer accepting delivery and award certification to the product, you will be fault finding for mechanical and electrical problems and fixing, provide technical demonstrations if required of machine.
For this role you will need a strong mechanical and electrical background, hydraulics would also be an advantage, IT literate, ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, it's desirable you have an FLT or IPAF license but not essential. You will be working at height also so must be comfortable with heights.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00 am -4.00 pm with overtime available in the summer months and no weekend work.
