Foundation Learning / Kickstart Employment Co-ordinator
GBP28,962 - One Year Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for applicants with imagination and proven entrepreneurial skills to help develop the employment opportunities for our students within the Foundation learning Department. You will have a background in training young people and making them ready for the world of work.
The post involves working with our full time students and identifying work experience placements for them. This means liaising with our Sales team and establishing relationships with local employers. For our interns, it relates to finding appropriate placements for the academic year.
You will be familiar with Government initiatives such as KickStart with the aim of finding employment for young people in the age-range 16-24. Nescot has developed a training programme for KickStart and you will manage this programme.
You will be responsible for recruiting career coaches, delivering training and supporting young people through the programme.
Whilst undertaking these duties you will be able to undertake some market research and identify the types of opportunities that are open to young people with learning needs and this will help us realign our curriculum as appropriate.
You should have very good administrative and organisational skills and be able to both lead and work as part of a team. Your aspiration will be to find as many employment opportunities as possible for the young people who want to find work.
Although the post is offered on a fixed term basis it might be possible to extend this based on the successful achievement of targets and the continuation of Government initiatives.
We are able to offer you a College campus set in 7 acres of green belt in a peaceful setting. The College has excellent transport links and is set in a location convenient to London and the South East and offers a large free on-site car park.
This post is a Nescot Enterprise Ltd post which has different terms and conditions to Nescot College
