PR & Social Media Manager

An Educational organisation has reached out to CRP Group to help recruit for a part time PR & Social Media Manager role for 16 hours per week. The hours are extremely flexible, and these can be arranged to suit the successful candidate (within our core hours of 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday). The overall aim of the role is to increase positive press coverage and social media engagement to enhance the reputation of the school and ultimately aide the recruitment and retention of pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write and distribute press releases and pitch to relevant journalists with a focus on local and regional titles plus national publications in education and other sectors
• Cultivate relationships with print, digital and broadcast journalists and other thought leaders and influencers
• Be the first point of contact for media enquiries
• Manage photography requirements for PR purposes
• Pro-actively monitor press and on-line content for coverage of relevant issues and create comment from the school
• Create thought leadership and blog-style content around relevant issues such as wellness, mental health in young people and the gender gap
• Create and post engaging social media text and video content
• Monitor, analyse and report on print / on-line coverage and social media engagement
• Develop and manage a PR & Social Media content calendar
