Access to Resources (ART) Team Manager
Contract role: 6 months
Hours: 37 per week M-F
Location: BH2 6DY
Pay: GBP23.25ph (PAYE) or GBP28.95ph (LTD)
We are recruiting for a Team Manager to work within the Children's Services unit for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole council area.
The role will be to plan, coordinate, develop, implement, maintain and manage robust contractual arrangements and monitoring mechanisms to ensure all purchasing and contracting activities for Children's Services are completed in line with BCP's standing orders, National Guidelines in relation to the management of public money, Children's Act and implemented in accordance with the strategic commissioning aims and objectives of the council ensuring value for money and are safe for children.
Your role will also be to manage the process of operational commissioning and de commissioning arrangements for Children's Services, this includes managing the market and working with partners in developing, analysing and determining strategic direction for future services identifying needs and gaps and contributing to decisions on how and where to commit future funding.
You will have direct line management responsibility so should have previous experience or a relevant management qualification, experience of managing budgets e.g. CiC external budget, also required is experience of commissioning and contract knowledge and skills specifically in the specialised areas of education, health and children's services.
